The "Face to Face with Scientists" event focused on the biodiversity around us.

On October 30, 2021, the branded educational event "Face to Face with Scientists" elaborately developed by Shanghai Natural History Museum (a branch of SSTM) saw a warm opening in the atrium of the second basement floor of the museum. As one of the closing events of the Shanghai Natural History Museum’s Global Biodiversity Conservation Month, this year’s "Face to Face with Scientists" took the theme of "biodiversity around us" and invited 30 experts and scholars in related fields from 13 institutions, including scientific research institutes, universities, and nature education agencies. By means of scientific fairs, micro lectures, and scientific dramas, the experts and scholars showed visitors the native biodiversity in Shanghai and surrounding areas, the threats and challenges faced by native creatures, and the efforts and achievements we have made in the protection of the biodiversity around us.
