On the morning of June 9, the Shanghai Science Communication Forum welcomed two important women in the life of the late distinguished physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking — Dr. Jane Hawking, his first wife who had lived with him for 30 years, and his daughter Dr. Lucy Hawking. They shared with the audience Stephen Hawking's path of scientific exploration in their eyes. Wang Lianhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, presented honorary trophies to the two distinguished guests. Dr. Lucy Hawking brought the George's Universe, a series of children's popular science books she co-authored with her father in eight years.

Dr. Jane Hawking gave a lecture entitled From Fact to Film to Fiction first, in which she shared the winding and extraordinary scientific exploration path of the talented scientist Stephen Hawking.

Dr. Lucy Hawking gave a speech entitled The Adventures of George — Journeys across the Universe with Lucy & Stephen Hawking, in which she defined the George's Universe series she co-authored with her father as "a key to the universe for children". This series of children's popular science books well-known all over the world is the starting point of many people's knowledge of the universe. The whole series consists of six books. The first five books are co-authored by Stephen Hawking and his daughter Lucy. After Stephen died, Lucy completed the finale of the series on her own and brought about a perfect end for George's cosmic adventures.
