Successful Convention of the National Education Innovation and Development Forum for Science Popularization Venues against the "Double Reduction" Strategy

    On May 23, 2022, under the instruction of the Chinese Association of Natural Science Museums, the National Education Innovation and Development Forum for Science Popularization Venues against the "Double Reduction" Strategy, jointly organized by the Yangtze River Delta Science Popularization Venue Alliance, the Science Popularization Committee of the Chinese Association of Natural Science Museums, and Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, was held both online and offline. It was live-streamed on the client end of Sina News, and was watched by 490,000 viewers. 

    This forum focused on experiences in and reflection on the innovation and development of science popularization and education against the "Double Reduction" strategy designed to ease the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education. It's proposed to keep following the "Double Reduction" strategy, further exchanges and cooperation among popular science and technology museums, promote the circulation of popular science education resources, achieve mutual compensation effects, build cross-region and inter-discipline education communication platforms, and further carry forward the spirit of scientists, thus laying a solid theoretical and practical foundation for the education innovation and development of popular science and technology museums in the future.
