Xin Ge, Deputy Curator of the SSTM, Won the 13th Shanghai Popular Science Award

      On May 19, 2021, the 13th Shanghai Popular Science Award Ceremony and the “Forever Young” Science and Technology Parlor, which was jointly organized by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and Shanghai Science & Technology Development Foundation, was be held. Xin Ge, Deputy Curator of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (SSTM) won the 13th Shanghai Popular Science Award together with Wang Tao from Shanghai Oriental Hospital, Liu Yibing from SMGNEWS, Zhang Wenhong from Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, and Zhang Wenjun from Shanghai Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences.


      Xin Ge has been engaged in science popularization and the construction of science popularization venues for more than 20 years, and has participated in the construction of the three most important science popularization venues in Shanghai. As the main person in charge of the SSTM’s temporary exhibition project, she has organized and implemented hundreds of projects and activities such as the exhibition series about the scientific and technological achievements of Shenzhou, the exhibition series about zodiac culture, the exhibition series about science and art, and the exhibition series about science popularization culture. Besides, she has participated in or guided the construction of many domestic science popularization venues as a consultant expert, and led or served as the main participant in a number of scientific research projects. With profound and systematic reflection on science communication and construction of science popularization venues, she has cultivated an innovation team of science popularization exhibition represented by the SSTM’s Research and Design Institute, leading the development of the field nationwide in both theory and practice.
