Shanghai Science & Technology Museum Launched the "Museum Walk" Coral Exploration Tour Activity with Bauhinia Square
The "Treasure House — Natural Treasures · Coral" science popularization exhibition co-organized by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum (SSTM) and Bauhinia Square was held in the atrium on the first floor of Bauhinia Square in Yangpu District on January 10, 2025, which attracted numerous citizens to visit. Following the "Approaching the North Pole," this exhibition is the second science popularization activity for public good under the "Museum Walk" series, which will last until March 9.
The curatorial team skillfully integrates the rare coral, a marine "natural treasure," into the Treasure House exhibition space for traditional Chinese culture, thus allowing viewers to feel as if they have stepped into a mysterious and fantastic world of underwater treasures. The exhibition aims to raise the public's awareness of marine ecological conservation and inspire their love and respect for nature.
The science popularization activities for public good under the "Museum Walk" series are original brand ones launched by SSTM. In the future, SSTM will further join hands with museums, research institutes, universities, and other organizations to share resources, create mobile science popularization education theme exhibitions according to local conditions, and explore the mysteries of nature, history and culture.
