4D Short Animation Longlong Secured A First-place Winner of the "Best Short Films" at the 20th Chinese American Film Festival

On November 8, 2024, the opening ceremony of the 20th Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival & the presenting ceremony of the "Golden Angel Awards" were held in Los Angeles on the West Coast of the United States. The 4D animated film Longlong, jointly produced by Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and Shanghai Animation Film Studio, secured a first-place winner of the "Best Short Films."

Themed on both "protecting biodiversity" and "harmony between humans and elephants," Longlong shows the resource-abundant ecosystem of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. The film is set against the backdrop of the magnificent and diverse animal and plant kingdom of Xishuangbanna. Through 3D animation technology, it realistically reproduces typical creatures in the tropical rainforest, makes the audience feel as if they were in the rainforest, and deeply explores the relationship between man and nature. The film has been screened at Shanghai Natural History Museum, attracting audiences of all ages.
