"Meet @ Scientists," an Event Held to Pay Tribute to Academician Wu Jieping, the Pioneer of Urology in China
On January 18, 2025, an activity of the "Meet @ Scientists" series of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum was successfully held at the Shanghai Natural History Museum. This activity focuses on Wu Jieping, a senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who has pioneered and made great contributions to urology in China. His story was told and knowledge about urinary health was popularized to guide the public to scientifically protect the urinary system and deeply understand the scientist's spirit.
On that occasion, Zou Lujia, Deputy Chief Physician of the Department of Urology of Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, was specially invited to deliver birthday wishes, autographed birthday cards, as well as customized cultural and creative souvenirs of the "Meet @ Scientists" series of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum for lucky viewers who had the same birthday with Academician Wu Jieping.
Zou Lujia conducted a science popularization lecture on the topic of Knowledge of Urological Diseases and Health. He explained the anatomical structure and organ function of the urinary system carefully, analyzed the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, and prevention measures of common urological diseases, and emphasized the important role of a healthy lifestyle in the prevention of urological diseases. This lecture not only shortened the distance between viewers and urology medicine, but also made them deeply recognize the patriotic, dedicated, and brave spirit of Academician Wu Jieping as a scientist.
