"Fingertip Science and Technology Station" Jointly Built by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and the Education Bureau of Chongming District
On February 11, 2025, the "Fingertip Science and Technology Station" was officially launched. It is a science education after-school service project jointly developed by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and the Education Bureau of Chongming District. The project includes a science experiment package and a science board game package. With deep integration of the high-quality educational resources of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, experimental courses and activities are carefully designed, covering physics, chemistry, biology and natural environment, etc., to stimulate students' strong interest in science and cultivate their practical operation ability, innovative thinking ability and scientific exploration spirit.
At the kick-off meeting, Ni Minjing, Curator of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, made a theme report entitled "Experiment Is the Most Appropriate Approach to Science Education," which covered an in-depth discussion from many angles such as the cutting-edge education concept and innovative teaching mode. He also personally performed different kinds of interesting small experiments on the stage, and carried out professional, systematic and vivid training for project leaders and teachers from different schools.
The scientific experiments at the "Fingertip Science and Technology Station" originated from the "Let's Do Experiment!" science and technology education project planned and launched by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. It focuses on scientific principles or things in our daily life to stimulate young people's interest and enthusiasm in science through a combination of fun experiments and online and offline interactions. The project has been implemented in many scenes through online platform dissemination of scientific knowledge and offline interactive experiments, popular science fairs and other forms, so that the audience can experience the fun of science at close range.
