On March 22, 2025, Shanghai Natural History Museum (Branch of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum) officially launched the annual public science program — "Nature Symbiosis: Find Nature in 2025." Focusing on the dual themes of "Public Science Innovation Practice" and "Urban Biodiversity Conservation," it strove to build a scientific practice network for public participation through five sub-programs and provide Shanghai's solutions for public participation in biodiversity conservation in global megacities.

The popular science brand of "Find Nature" has been held for 9 consecutive years, which has attracted a total of more than 4.7 million participants, cultivated more than 100 public scientists, and resulted in a "scientist-public-youth" engagement network. Its innovation model was selected as "2023 Excellent Case of Biodiversity" by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China. Relying on the upgrade of the "Hear Everything" applet platform, five major projects including "Shanghai Insect Family Tree" update, "Shanghai Butterfly Monitoring," "Red-bellied Squirrel Survey," "Animal Roadkill Survey" and "Chongming Dongtan Bird Survey" will be carried out this year, still subject to the "public engagement in science" mode.

From today on, citizens can search for "Hear Everything" applet through WeChat, complete registration and choose to participate in the project. Volunteers who continue to participate in the annual project will have the opportunity to obtain the volunteer service duration certified by the Organizing Committee of Shanghai International Nature Conservation Festival, or the Certificate for Excellent Public Scientist for the Year issued by the project team.
