"Fun | Insect Story" Night Held at the Shanghai Natural History Museum

On November 3, 2023, the "Fun | Insect Story" Night and the opening ceremony of the "Urban Insects" biodiversity theme exhibition were held at Shanghai Natural History Museum. 

The activities are divided into three major sections: "Fun · Appreciation", "Fun · Strolling" and "Fun · Shopping," with a total of 16 activities. The museum has carefully prepared a variety of science popularization activities, exhibitions and lectures such as the "Butterfly Kaleidoscope" interactive explanation experience, the "Urban Insects" exhibition, and the "Future Curators" outstanding works display event. Popular theaters such as the "Theater 65", "The Universe Outbreak Theater" and "Into Africa" were also open to the public. Audiences could visit them at night and experience the unique night atmosphere created by new technology.

In the exhibition area, professional musicians from the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra presented the "Shanghai Natural History Museum Wonderful Music" series of performances to the audience, with a total of 12 pieces of works, where the audiences were able to appreciate the high integration of culture, art and natural science. In addition, visitors could purchase popular cultural and creative products such as the Internet celebrity "Cute Lion" and "Tyrannosaurus Rex" blind boxes in the cultural and creative store in the museum, and take the museum's cultural and creative products home.
