Shanghai Science & Technology Museum''s Original Exhibition "Whale World" Went on Tour to Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum

Recently, Shanghai Science & Technology Museum's original exhibition "Whale World" held a tour exhibition launching ceremony in the digital exhibition hall on the first floor of the Xinjiang Association for Science and Technology. Hosted by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and the Xinjiang Association for Science and Technology, and organized by the Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum, the exhibition, the sixth stop of the "Whale World" exhibition, will continue to be carried out in the Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum for two months. In addition, the science team of the two museums cooperated to carry out "Science in Schools" events, bringing wonderful and interesting science education events to teachers and students of the Urumqi No. 1 Senior High School. 

After the launch ceremony, 100 students and teachers from Urumqi No. 14 Elementary School visited and experienced the exhibition under the leadership of curator Hu Xidan. Afterwards, in cooperation with the science teachers of the two museums, the students and teachers participated in 8 educational games such as "Whale Song", "Whale Eyes See the World" and "Whale Startling" to learn about the characteristics of whale types, their habits and other related scientific knowledge. The exhibition and supporting educational events have received unanimous praise from teachers and students. 

The science team of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum also jointly carried out the event of "Science in the Campus", providing fantastic and interesting science education events for more than 400 teachers and students of the Urumqi No. 1 Senior High School at the foot of Tianshan Mountain. In the science show "Under Pressure", science teachers from the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum proved the existence of atmospheric pressure and explained the relevant principles through a series of vivid and interesting performances, such as "sporadic" water, wine glass lifting glass and sucking cans with bare hands. In "Newton's Story", the science teachers played Newton and his assistants in a role-playing format, interpreting the classic story of Newton in a unique way and showing Newton's unselfish scientific work and tireless scientific research spirit. In the "Whale World DIY" event, the students made a whale dolphin key chain according to the demonstration and explanation of the science teachers.
