A few days ago, the winners of the Second Science Fiction Planet Award were announced, and 27 programs won the Science Fiction Technology Award, Science Fiction Literature Award and Science Fiction Work Award. SSTM's original 4D sci-fi animation movie Fluorescence won the "Work Award: Best Science Fiction Enlightenment Work."
The Science Fiction Planet Award was initiated by Chinese science fiction leaders Wang Jinkang, Liu Cixin, Wu Yan and Guo Fan. As China's first globally comprehensive science fiction award, it is intended to recognize outstanding contributions to science fiction, including science and technology, literature, and film and television works. Launched in June last year, this Science Fiction Planet Award covers four categories: the Science Fiction Technology Award, the Science Fiction Literature Award, the Science Fiction Work Award and the Outstanding Contribution Award. It attracted 458 valid programs from many foreign countries and regions, including Japan, Italy, the United States, Canada and Germany, as well as China's 28 mainland provinces and municipalities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. In this appraisal, a number of well-known science fiction film and television and literature works, such as the Wandering Earth II, the Three-Body Problem and the Dune, competed for the major awards.
The 4D movie Fluorescence of SSTM was against a backdrop of the future Mars exploration. The team engaged in textual research and gave vivid artistic performance, offering people lenses into potential life on Mars. Fascinating plots were designed to fuel the interest of people, especially young people in science and exploring spirit when they watched this eye-catching popular science film.
