The Launching Ceremony of the Public Natural Science Popularization and Publicity Education Project and the 212th Shanghai Science Communication Forum Was Held

        On the afternoon of August 25, 2024, the "Launching Ceremony of the Public Natural Science Popularization and Publicity Education Project and the 212th Shanghai Science Communication Forum" jointly organized by the Shanghai Science & Education Development Foundation and the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum was held at the Shanghai Natural History Museum.

Wang Xiaoming, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Science & Education Development Foundation, introduced the background, content and implementation path of the Project, hoping to gather more forces with the concept of "reconstruction of nature in the city", vigorously create a good atmosphere for the public to participate in biodiversity conservation, promote the realization of permanent ecological beauty in the international metropolis, and advance the integrated development of natural science popularization and publicity and education in the Yangtze River Delta. Li Baoguo, a professor at Northwest University, delivered a popular science lecture entitled The Development of Human Society from the Society of Golden Monkeys. This lecture is also one of the important activities of the public natural science popularization and publicity education project. Professor Li Baoguo also shared the research results of his team on the evolution, population protection, habitat restoration and genetic restoration of endangered animals for more than 30 years, and called on the visitors to raise their awareness of biodiversity conservation and contribute to the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
