The third stop of the science popularization exhibition themed by "The Land of the Great River" opened in Nanjing

On May 24, 2023, the themed popular science exhibition (Nanjing Station) of "The Land of the Great River - The Colorful Ecosystem of the Yangtze River" kicked off at Nanjing Science and Technology Museum. This is the third stop of the national tour.

The exhibition did not only exhibit 42 samples of the main stream of the Yangtze River, 72 museum plant specimens, and 5 groups of rare aquatic biological models of the Yangtze River, but also exhibited local content such as specimens and hand-drawn interactive games provided by various places during the tour. These exhibits show the characteristics of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and have been brilliantly presented in Nanjing. The exhibition also features an interactive experience science popularization exhibition area of "Living with the River - Great Protection of the Yangtze River" that shows the regional characteristics of Nanjing, focusing on the protection work and achievements of the Yangtze River in Nanjing. The exhibition area simulates the ecological environment of the Nanjing section of the Yangtze River, showing the environment and state of native fish, allowing the audience to experience the world of underwater elves from a new perspective. 

In order to fully demonstrate the characteristics and conservation achievements of Jiangsu and Nanjing in the Yangtze River protection, the opening ceremony was followed by a forum on the theme of "Protecting the River of Life" for the ecology and biodiversity protection of the Yangtze River.
