The Shanghai Natural History Museum’s Science Service Team Supports the “Science and Technology Train to Longjiang” Event
On September 9, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government officially launched the 2024 "Science and Technology Train to Longjiang" event in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang. A team of four from the Shanghai Natural History Museum formed a "science service group" to deliver high-quality science popularization content to communities and primary and secondary schools at different counties and cities through science performances, educational explanations, and other activities.
As one of the highlights of this event, "Science Night" took place on the evening of September 9, where the Shanghai Natural History Museum’s science service team presented an engaging science performance New Chuang Chou Dreaming a Butterfly and a science explanation session The Voice of Plants to over 500 primary and secondary school students and their parents. The science service team also conducted hands-on popular science courses, such as "Moss Garden in Hand" and "The Peculiar Millipede with Hundred Beaks", at four junior and vocational high schools in Fujin and Fuyuan. They also donated carefully selected popular science books to each school.
