In December 2024, the team of the Science Communication Center of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, together with CCTV and an international crew, successfully completed the shooting of Przewalski's horse part in the giant screen movie Wild Horses. The filming team traveled to the Kalamaili Nature Reserve in Xinjiang to capture the real living conditions of this precious species, Przewalski's horse, despite severely cold and harsh conditions. The movie is scheduled for release in 2026, the Year of the Horse as per the Chinese Zodiac Calendar.

The giant screen movie Wild Horses is shot under the supervision of Mark Brownlow, director of the BBC documentary Frozen Planet, and the direction of Rob Sullivan, an internationally renowned natural history documentary director and chief director of BBC's The Hunt documentary series. With a focus on eight representative horses in the world from the perspectives of natural ecology, historical development, and cultural significance, it intends to lead the audience to understand the profound connection between these animals and human society, and call on more people to jointly protect our home planet.
