2024 Science Education Expert Consultation Meeting Was Successfully Convened

On the afternoon of June 25, 2024, "Shanghai Science and Technology Communication Think Tank · Yangtze River Delta Education Development Research Institute 2024 Science Education Expert Consultation Meeting" was convened at the UNESCO Teacher Education Centre (TEC) of Shanghai Normal University. The event was organized by the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the Yangtze River Delta Education Development Research Institute. Themed "Science Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", the meeting brought together experts and scholars from education, technology, and other fields to discuss the transformation trends of science education against the backdrop of artificial intelligence and the future direction of cultivating outstanding innovative talents among teenagers.

This event marked the first collaboration between the Shanghai Science and Technology Communication Think Tank and the Yangtze River Delta Education Development Research Institute. The former is the first of its kind in China, combining science popularization venues, universities, and research institutions. It was established by Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Institute for Science of Science, and several other units under the leadership of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. And now, the Science Communication Center of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is in charge of its daily operations. The latter was initiated by the Shanghai Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy and other units to promote the integrated, modern and coordinated development of education in the Yangtze River Delta region and fully serve the socio-economic development in the region and even the whole country.
