"Encounter with Mountains and Rivers" Classic of Mountains and Rivers Science and Art Integration Exhibition opens in Shanghai

On November 26, 2022, the "Encounter with Mountains and Rivers" Classic of Mountains and Rivers Science and Art Integration Exhibition co-hosted by Shanghai Natural History Museum, Pearl Art Museum and Xinhua Wenchuang Light of Space opened.

The main body of this exhibition is composed of 6 paintings: Di Jiang Song Ge (Ode to the Emperor River), Qing Geng Yuyi (Pandemic Prevention by Qinggeng), Er Shu Chuan Lin (Ershu Goes across the Forest), Xuan Gui Zhen Shan (Xuangui Protects Mountain), Long Zhi Wo Fu (Longzhi Lying Down) and Wen Yao Fei Tian (Flying Wenyao). Through vivid images of animals and plants and their environment, this exhibition shows the audience the fantastic beauty and rich biodiversity of the eastern, western, southern, northern and central mountains together with the scientific interpretation and artistic interpretation of the paintings online. Interactive sections such as the mobile game Cloud Tour of Mountains and Rivers, the AI painting Creative Mountains and Rivers, and the dynamic display Resurrection! Mythical Creatures enhance the interest of the exhibition and create a more vivid immersive experience for the audience.

This exhibition is also accompanied by a wealth of educational activities, including a series of lectures on Literature and Science in the Classic of Mountains and Rivers", a course on "The Classic of Mountains and Rivers in the City" and a script tour of revealing "the Code of the Classic of Mountains and Rivers". The educational resource package "the Classic of Mountains and Rivers in the City" developed for this exhibition uses the STREAM education concept to fully demonstrate the museum education concept of "integration of exhibition, teaching and research" of the Shanghai Natural History Museum.
