The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Announced a Three-Year Action Plan Aimed at Establishing an Innovative Demonstration Site for the Best Practices of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture
On September 28, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum released the Action Plan for the Comprehensive Establishment of an Innovative Demonstration Site for Xi Jinping Thought on Culture (2024-2027), striving to construct a world-class science and technology museum cluster that embodies Chinese characteristics and Shanghai traits through seven major actions and 22 key tasks. The plan aims to transform the museum into a central hub for science popularization, a significant catalyst for the development of innovative centers, and a new cultural landmark in a distinguished global city.
The Plan proposes that the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum will fully advance renovation projects and comprehensively upgrade its permanent exhibition areas and the Science Cinema. The Shanghai Natural History Museum will implement the "One Square Meter Museum" initiative across 100 campuses, cultivate 100 little curators through the "Future Curators' Views" program, and develop 100 "Natural, Science, Cultural, and Artistic Courses". The Shanghai Astronomy Museum will create its metaverse immersive products and develop large language models for astronomical science popularization, as well as enhance the exhibition facilities of the Xihe Solar Tower.
