“Mobile National Park Exhibition” Enters Shanghai Campus to Promote Ecological Conservation Education
On June 25, 2025, the launch ceremony of the “Mobile National Park Exhibition” and the District-level Ecological Conservation Showcase was held at the Pudong Hesha School Affiliated to the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Pudong New Area. The event was jointly hosted by SSTM and the Pudong New Area Education Bureau and organized by the Pudong New Area Youth Activity Center. Distinguished guests in attendance included Ding Lizhong, Chief Education Supervisor of Pudong New Area; Shi Duo, Deputy Director of the Division of Physical Education, Health, and Arts at the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission; as well as representatives from the Pudong Education Bureau, Pudong Youth Activity Center, Shanghai Pudong Institute of Education Development, and various schools.
The exhibition focused on the integration and dissemination of ecological conservation education and the national park concept. By combining immersive experiences with real ecological models, it is aimed to bring the ideas of national parks and biodiversity into the campus. The program covered 30 schools across Pudong New Area, benefiting a wide range of teachers and students.
Through diverse and engaging formats, the exhibition allowed students to gain a deep understanding of ecological wonders via immersive experiences, strengthening their sense of responsibility and motivation for ecological conservation. As one of the interactive highlights, the science-themed board game Rainforest Quest featured a dedicated experience zone, where students simulated tropical rainforest canopy dynamics and plant resource competition, helping them grasp the principles of ecosystem succession and biodiversity structure.
This event served not only as a focused showcase of ecological education, but also as a significant practice in educational innovation for Pudong New Area. Through the joint efforts of schools, families, and society, ecological conservation education has grown into the indispensable “green gene” in the cultivation of today’s youth.
