From October 8 to 13, the Shanghai Natural History Museum initiated the “Fun Learning for Elders” Science Popularization and Elderly Caring Week, with a focus on senior scientific education. The event aims to attract more elderly individuals to the museum, allowing them to engage with high-quality science resources and experience the happiness of life in the new era.

At the opening ceremony, the Shanghai Natural History Museum, in collaboration with 22 organizations, presented the Shanghai Initiative titled Promoting Elderly Well-being through Science Education. The event has invited Curator Ni Minjing along with several external experts to engage in cross-disciplinary dialogues discussing "Scientific Education in the Context of an Aging Society". The Shanghai Natural History Museum also launched a senior program called "Nature’s Kaleidoscope", which has officially commenced at the Shanghai University for the Elderly.
