“Roars from Across China · China’s Dinosaur World” Inner Mongolia Theme Week Kicks Off

On July 19, 2025, the opening ceremony of the “Roars from Across China · China’s Dinosaur World” Inner Mongolia Theme Week was held at the lecture hall of the Shanghai Natural History Museum (SNHM). The event highlighted Inner Mongolia’s abundant dinosaur fossil resources and Inner Mongolia grassland cultural landscape. Through diverse formats such as exhibit displays, folk performances, 4D films, science lectures, and in-person courses, it offered audiences an immersive experience that combined scientific depth with cultural richness.

At the event, the special lecture “The Mysteries of Fossils and the World of Dinosaurs” provided an in-depth explanation of the various types of dinosaur fossils and their scientific significance. From skeletons to footprints, from feathers to nesting sites, the lecture showcased how fossils help scientists reconstruct the forms, behaviors, and evolutionary history of dinosaurs, guiding the public into a vivid and authentic prehistoric world.
