Our Contestants Won Several Awards in Two Science Popularization Tournaments
On March 31, 2024, the finals of the 2024 Shanghai Science Experiment Exhibition and Performance was held by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality with the support of the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Commission and Science and Technology Commissions (Associations) of each district of the city. 27 groups of teams from all districts of the city competed fiercely, and the contestants of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum won 5 awards. The first prize winners include the Master of Balance of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum's Exhibition and Education Center and "Tianwen" Travelogue of the Shanghai Astronomy Museum's Exhibition and Education Center. The second prize winners include the Hole with Light of the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum's Exhibition and Education Center, the "Singing" Dongfanghong Again of Shanghai Astronomy Museum's Exhibition and Education Center, and the Finishing Touch of the Shanghai Natural History Museum's Exhibition and Education Center. Besides, the Athlete of the Shanghai Natural History Museum's Exhibition and Education Center won the third prize.
On March 30, the final of the 11th Shanghai Science Communication Explanation Competition, organized by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, was successfully held in the Yi Hong Theatre of Shanghai Science Popularization Park. Since the preparation in November last year, as many as 1,116 people from various districts of the city applied for the competition, and after the preliminary and semi-final rounds, 40 contestants finally got to the final rounds, and the contestants of the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum won several awards in the final rounds. Wang Zijun, from the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Natural History Museum, won the first prize and was awarded title of "Top Ten Shanghai Science Communication Messengers in 2024"; Wang Yuhan and Tang Ran, from the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Astronomy Museum, and Wei Xiaoyan, from the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Natural History Museum, won the second prize; Chen Zhiwei and Xiao Nanyan, from the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Natural History Museum, and Liu Zhihan, from the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Astronomy Museum, won the third prize.
