During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in 2025, SNHM and the SAM extended their opening hours and launched a series of special events to better meet the needs of visitors and enhance their visiting experience.

From October 1 to October 7, SNHM held the special event “National Day · China Dragon Fantasy Night” for seven consecutive evenings. On October 1, the museum extended its opening hours until 10:00 p.m., and from October 2 to October 7, until 9:00 p.m. Each day featured a different theme, offering immersive themed explorations tailored for parent-child families and cross-boundary night celebrations designed for young audiences, providing visitors of all ages with a rich and colorful experience.

From October 1 to October 7, SAM extended its opening hours until 8:00 p.m. After closing, the museum also organized the special stargazing activity “Encountering the Starry Sky.” Beginning on October 8, the museum’s regular closing time was adjusted from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guided by the theme of “Science + Culture,” the museum curated a series of immersive and interactive science popularization programs, including the themed tour “Chronicles of the Sky,” a live Mid-Autumn moon-viewing broadcast, and a VR large-space experience. These activities allowed visitors to appreciate the wonders of astronomy while deeply experiencing the unique charm of astronomical science.
