"Splendid Chapter for Science Travel": The Technological Innovation Principal Space Station Celebrates Its First Anniversary

On the afternoon of June 28, 2024, the first anniversary of the Science Travel · Technological Innovation Principal Space Station was specially celebrated at the Minhang High School of Science and Technology Affiliated to ECUST. Under the guidance of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, this event was organized by Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Science & Education Development Foundation, and the Steering Commission of Scientific & Technological Innovation Education of Shanghai Municipality.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of the Technological Innovation Principal Space Station, Wang Hualin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, ECUST, Zhou Mingfei, a professor at the Department of Chemistry at Fudan University, and Xing Lida, an associate professor at China University of Geosciences (Beijing) were invited to join Qiao Changhong, Principal of the Minhang High School of Science and Technology Affiliated to ECUST, and Ni Minjing, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and Curator of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, for a on-site marvelous dialogue. The guests shared their respective sci-tech achievements and educational practice experiences under the theme of "Scientific and Technological Rationality, Splendid Chapter for Science Travel " and interacted warmly with the students present at the event.

    Moreover, there was a special science popularization activity for the anniversary, featuring keynote speeches by Professor Zhou Mingfei and Associate Professor Xing Lida. For the first time, the Technological Innovation Principal Space Station entered a high school and celebrated its anniversary in collaboration with the Minhang High School of Science and Technology Affiliated to ECUST. At the scene, the High School Science and Technology Innovation Education Alliance of the Technological Innovation Principal Space Station was officially established, which marked the further expansion of the "circle of friends" of the station and the further development of sci-tech innovation education at the high school stage.
