From February 8 to February 11, 2025, the "Star Seedling" Astronomy Winter Camp, co-organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Astronomy Museum, was successfully carried out. As the first astronomy winter camp held by Shanghai Astronomy Museum for high school students, it attracted the participation of 33 outstanding high school students from nearly 30 schools all over the country, and set up a platform for teenagers with astronomical dreams to explore the mysteries of astronomy.

The winter camp provided the participants with three lectures on science popularization at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with theme reports such as "Introduction to Astronomy Discipline of Shanghai Jiao Tong University," "How to Become an Astronomer" and "Astronomy Practice in Lenghu." Campers walked into Tsung-Dao Lee Institute, visited the exhibits of "Astronomy Scroll," listened to popular science reports "From the Wandering Earth to the Merging Double Black Holes" and "Astronomy Scroll," and took an in-depth experience of the wonderful astronomy in the blend of science fiction and science, and history and reality.

At Wangshu Observatory of Shanghai Astronomy Museum, the winter camp members were organized to carry out celestial observation and intelligent celestial photography. Researchers from the Astronomical Research Center met with campers face-to-face and provided them with guidance on career planning. The campers also started an in-depth exploration tour in Shanghai Astronomy Museum, experienced the vastness of the universe during their visit to the exhibition area and characteristic laboratories, and walked into Xihe Sun Tower and Meteorite Laboratory to gain an in-depth understanding of the daily astronomical scientific research.
