The 2024 "Journey -- from the Grassland to the Sea" Shanghai-Inner Mongolia Research Camp Was Held

From July 29 to August 3, 2024, the 2024 "Journey -- from the Grassland to the Sea" Shanghai-Inner Mongolia Research Camp was held in Shanghai. The Camp was hosted by the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and the Department of Natural Resources of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and organized by the Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History and the Shanghai Teenagers Extra-Curricular Activities Campsite -- Oriental Land. Forty teenagers from Inner Mongolia and Shanghai participated in the event.

With the main task of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, the Camp focused on the scientific exploration of the "five centers" strategic positioning in Shanghai to help campers improve their observation, thinking, innovation and teamwork abilities, and cultivate their comprehensive quality through interactive and inquiry-based theme activities such as "sailing", "homeland", "journey", "exploration", "ocean" and "universe". During the week, the campers learned the power of role models and beliefs, swam in the ocean of science, and gained rich knowledge of nature, history, and humanities.
