Shanghai Natural History Museum’s “The First Class” Integrates Small Naturalist with Artificial Intelligence into the Classroom

On September 2, the Shanghai Natural History Museum, in collaboration with Mingqiang Primary School in Qibao Town, Minhang District, and Shanghai Educational Publishing House, launched "The First Class" activity. Utilizing the museum's Small Naturalist series and corresponding resource packages, the event integrated contemporary AI topics and featured both student and teacher sessions. The creators of the resource packages, school teachers, and experts in artificial intelligence delivered presentations on "The First Class".

During the event, the plaque of "Discovering Shanghai: Small Naturalist Course Alliance" was awarded. Representatives from Shanghai Educational Publishing House handed the latest publication of the Small Naturalist series to student delegates from Mingqiang Primary School. A science teacher from the Shanghai Natural History Museum conducted a science popularization lecture titled How to Become a Small Naturalist. The lecture provided an accessible introduction to essential skills for aspiring small naturalists, covering aspects of collecting, observing, and preserving nature.
