The first National Nature Education Cultural and Creative Product Design Competition rounded off recently. Our original science board role-playing game (BRPG), National Giant Panda Park, stood out from more than 1,000 entries and won the bronze prize in the Nature Class category under the Commodity Group.

National Giant Panda Park is a science BRPG redeveloped and innovated in model based on "China Rare Species", an original documentary brand of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, which breaks the communication limitations of documentaries in the form of physical BRPG. Based on the educational philosophy of "Play to Learn", the game transmits ecological concepts such as habitat, population, flagship species, ecological corridor, etc., in gamified learning and calls for players to understand that National Giant Panda Park not only protect the pandas but also protect the biodiversity and the habitats that shelter them and connect to the nature.

During the crowd sale, this nature education product was pre-ordered by 764 players with sales of RMB 10,000, far beyond those of similar domestic BRPGs. This product was a hit at the From City to Wilderness: Biodiversity theme exhibition as well as in the BRPG activities organized by the Culture and Education Section of the German Consulate-General in Shanghai. Especially, it has been included in the featured courses for community after-class services in Caojiadu Subdistrict, Jing'an District.
