"Future Curator" Training Camp Launched by Shanghai Natural History Museum
On February 22, 2025, the theme activity of the "Future Curator" Training Camp was launched by Shanghai Natural History Museum. With the theme of "Urban Animals Adventure," this activity attracted the participation of 200 enthusiastic students from 15 primary schools in the city. 20 campers were selected to participate in the live event, where they started an "Urban Animals Adventure" full of creativity and exploration.
In the exhibition construction, the campers turned into small curators. Around the theme of "Urban Animals Adventure," they gave full play to their imagination and creativity and came up with their own unique exhibition plans. They use models, cardboard, 3D printing pens and other materials to turn their ideas into reality, and created miniature exhibitions of child fun and creativity, which showed the survival status quo of animals in the city, the challenges they face and the beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between human and animals. At the site, the campers also served as small commentators to confidently introduce their works to the audience and share their creative ideas and stories behind the scenes.
As one of the education projects of the "One Square Meter Museum" brand of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, the "Future Curator" Training Camp has received extensive attention and praise from the audience in recent years. It was awarded the first batch of "Top Ten Quality" science education projects of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum in 2024. In the future, Shanghai Natural History Museum will continue to optimize the "Future Curator" Training Camp to make it a more influential and attractive brand education project.
