The Team of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Popularized Science Conducted the “Popular Science Aid to Tibetan” Initiative at Gannan

From September 3 to September 8, the Ministry of Science and Technology successfully held the 2024 "Popular Science Aid to Tibetan" event (Gansu) in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The popular science team of Shanghai’s science and technology system, composed of representatives from the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, the Pudong Science, Technology, and Economy Commission, the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, participated in this event alongside various domestic popular science organizations.

The popular science team from the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, comprising six members, traveled over 2,000 kilometers in five days, covering one city and four counties. They visited Gansu Normal University For Nationalities, Hezuo Junior High School, Maqu County Tibetan Senior High School, Diebu County Junior High School, and Zhuoni County Tibetan School, with two discussion sessions, three popular science lectures, seven science experiment demonstrations, four science courses, and two DIY activities. More than 900 students benefited from the on-site activities, generating enthusiastic feedback.
