The Themed Activity of "The End of the Sea is Grassland — Shanghai-Inner Mongolia Research Tour" Held

To thoroughly implement the General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and promote exchanges and cooperation in science popularization and culture between Shanghai and Inner Mongolia, the themed activity "The End of the Sea is Grassland — Shanghai-Inner Mongolia Research Tour" was held in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in August 7-12, 2023. The event was sponsored by the Department of Natural Resources of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, and organized by Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History, Inner Mongolia China Young Pioneers Work Society and Hohhot Education Bureau. 40 teenagers from Shanghai and Inner Mongolia participated. 

With a 6-day journey of nearly 1,000 kilometers, the tour has built a learning and communication platform for teenagers from Shanghai and Inner Mongolia. They appreciated the magnificence and vastness of Inner Mongolia at the Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History. They learned about the deeds of Duguima, "Mother of Grassland" at Siziwang Banner; They experienced the original pastoral life and listened to the stories shared by Saren Toya, author of the novel The Silent Aimin River, at Sonid Right Banner; Walking into Erenhot, they paid a visit to the north gate of China and had a "dialogue" with dinosaurs in the Cretaceous National Geological Park; At the Ulanhada volcano cluster in Qahar Right Wing Rear Banner, they learned geological knowledge such as volcanoes; At YILI Health Valley Station, they got to know about the whole production process of dairy products.
