On July 20, 2024, the "Science Wonderland — Family STEAM Corner" themed training was launched at the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Several experts from the education and science and technology sectors, along with 300 audience representatives, gathered to study and share the creation of a family STEAM corner.

The training is an online and offline educational project initiated by the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum to encourage teenagers to conduct scientific exploration at home. The project encourages teenagers to maximize scientific educational resources from the family, society, and the science and technology museum to design their own family STEAM corner and actively participate in scientific inquiry. This move aims to transform science education from "knowledge input" to "STEAM output," better leveraging the positive role of family education in nurturing children's creativity.

During the two-day training, a broad spectrum of activities such as keynote speeches, science shows, and case sharing emerged one after another. Ni Minjing, Curator of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, and Zhou Jianzhong, Director of the Science Education Department of the CWI Children's Palace, delivered lectures titled "Everything Can Be Studied" and "Science Popularization in Daily Life, It's So Easy If You Make Efforts" respectively. The science performance team of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum also staged a unique experiment show named The Power of Structure. Wang Xingqi, Project Head of the Exhibition and Education Center of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, elaborated in detail on the profound significance and implementation blueprint of the "Science Wonderland — Family STEAM Corner" project.
