“Face-to-Face with Scientists” Science Garden Party Held n Binjiang, Pudong

On November 18, 2023, the "Face-to-Face with Scientists" science garden party, a brand science popularization activity carefully created by the Shanghai Natural History Museum, was launched in World EXPO Park Shanghai. This is the first cooperation program between the "Face-to-Face with Scientists" project brand and the Shanghai Science and Technology Morning Star Association. With the theme of "Guarding the Mother River" and in the form of a scientific garden party, it fully demonstrated to the general public how Shanghai protects its mother river.

The highlight of this garden party was the "Guarding the Mother River" science fair. A total of 10 scientific booths were set up to display Yangtze River water ecological environment protection and related important scientific research and practical results from multiple dimensions. At the fair, experts also conducted a popular science lecture on water resources. Besides interacting with scientists, prosecutors and other experts at the scene, the audience could also participate in interesting interactive exhibitions and learn about Yangtze River biology and related laws and regulations in the games.

In addition, “little scientists” from the youth science and innovation project were invited to the garden party to present their research results on urban water ecological protection to the general public. Bird experts from the Shanghai Natural History Museum also led the audience to conduct a riverside bird watching activity.
